Job Description

CoWorx is seeking Press Operators on all shifts for a reputable client in Agawam, MA. In this role you will be responsible for performing day to day production activities as well as monitoring product for quality.

Job Requirements

Primary Duties:

  • Set Up and changeover Press
  • Work together as a 2-unit team and concentrate talents from Press to Press
  • Observe all quality parameters (condition of installed cylinders, paper quality, etc
  • Set up incoming rolls of paper on the Press for printing
  • Make high-quality splices for cutover roll transfer
  • Remove, via fork truck, finished printed roll
  • Wrap, weigh and properly label finished rolls for shipment
  • Peripheral Press Operation: Pre-cut paper wraps and cores for current or incoming orders
  • Empty waste and trash trucks into compactor as needed
  • Check in-coming orders and stage or load the Press with the correct width impression rollers/sleeves
  • Operate Rewinder as needed
  • Ensure information is clearly and precisely communicated to the incoming shift 

Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma or Equivalent
  • Proven analytic skills on production floor
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
