Whelen Engineering has DIRECT HIRE openings on 2nd shift for Mold Processors. Don’t have experience in molding? We will train the right candidates!

Responsibilities:

• Applies basic and some intermediate skills to perform functions in the execution of existing procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment within the assigned area.
• Resolves routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to higher levels.
• Verifies correct program is set up in machine.
• Basic programming of automation to de-gate and deposit parts.
• Brings injection molding machines up to temperature and cycling parts.
• Dials in established processes for quality acceptance.
• Sets up and fine tunes equipment for secondary operations.
• Assist in mold changing when needed.
• May be trained to operate forklift and other equipment to move product.

Desired Background/Skills:

• Mechanical aptitude.
• Detail oriented.
• Manual dexterity for putting together parts and pieces quickly and accurately.
• Vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish colors.
