Job Description


CoWorx Staffing is currently seeking Material Handlers for opportunities in Joliet, IL. In this role you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks within the warehouse. Responsibilities can include testing, cleaning, and repairing of telecommunications and cable equipment. In addition, you may be responsible for receiving or shipping product along with picking & preparing customer orders.

Job Requirements

Primary Duties:

  • Verify incoming and outgoing unit counts and unit condition
  • Package, unpackage, sort, stage and prepare units for production
  • Data entry into computer system via PC and RF handheld devices
  • Put away and pull equipment and/or parts
  • Cleaning and inspecting parts and disassembly of returned units
  • Load & unload trucks
  • Work at a consistent pace that meets acceptable levels of quality and performance
  • Follow work and safety procedures
  • Communicate effectively and as needed
  • Perform housekeeping tasks and maintain a visual workplace
  • Ability to meet/exceed production goals at 80% or higher
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Basic skill set (refer to required skills section below)                     
  • Computer skills
  • HS diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous experience working in a high volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus   
  • Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and potentially holidays as needed
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills
  • Lift and/or pull 50 lbs
  • Standing & moving for long periods of time
