The Machine Operator role is responsible for working with heavy machinery from setup to operation. Machine Operators work with manual and/or CNC equipment to make sure they are set up properly, working well, and producing quality product. The role is an exciting opportunity to join a global, dynamic, Hi-Tech team, supporting the semi-conductor, optical, and LED industries. We are an industry leader in development and manufacturer of high temperature, ultra-pure ceramic materials manufactured through CVD processes.

Responsibilities:

• Use of surface grinders, Bridgeport type mills, OD/ID grinders and rotary grinders for manual machine operations.
• Maintain quality and quantity with strong sense of accountability and standards.
• Complete all relevant documentation while maintaining product traceability throughout the process. · Clean and maintain equipment and work area.
• Perform mechanical and visual inspection of ceramics using various inspection equipment. · Perform safety checks on every machine.
• Ensure that machines are producing quality products by performing periodic checks on output. · Carry out regular and preventative maintenance procedures.
• Read product drawings and methods to visualize machining/grinding to be done and planned sequence of operation.
• Must be flexible with cross-training in other departments.
• Perform various tasks and all other duties as required/assigned by Department Supervisor
• Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations and with Morgan Hudson EHS Guidelines.

Desired Background/Skills:

• Experienced machine operators or mechanical assembly skills
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 2+ years’ experience with machine operation and/or CNC Machine Operation.
• Strong knowledge of machines in a manufacturing setting.
• Due to ITAR regulations employee must be must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
