Job Description

CoWorx Staffing, in partnership with Pepperidge Farm, is seeking Food Packaging Associates for their Bloomfield facility.


Ideal candidates should be able to work a minimum of 6 days a week and must have a flexible schedule to adjust to changing shift times. Overtime hours are available every week so you can earn even more leading up to the holidays!

These are long term, temp to hire positions that offer a significant pay rate increase upon permanent hire.

Job Requirements

Job Functions:

  • Straighten product prior to the slicer
  • Monitor slicer infeed to prevent jam-ups
  • Remove thrift and / or damaged product from the line
  • Rack off product as required
  • Pack product into baskets in accordance with specifications
  • Continuously inspect product to ensure highest levels of quality standards
  • Remove all baskets that are not clean and / or are broken and store in designated area
  • Cross train in any skill-equivalent assignments as deemed necessary by the area lead
  • Review pertinent information with the previous and oncoming shifts such as safety / food safety / mechanical issues, etc.
  • Clean equipment
  • Remove trash as necessary
  • Maintain a safe neat and clean work area accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good House Keeping Practices (GHP’s)
  • Communicate effectively and foster a positive working relationship with all co-workers
  • Follow all JSA guidelines
  • Adhere to plant policies/procedures, safety rules, GMP’s, and Food Safety Policies and Practice

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior food-related experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write & understand English
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, and bend for full shift
  • Steel toed boots required
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 6 days a week as well as overtime

Shifts Available:

  • 1st Shift: 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • 2nd Shift: 5:00pm – 1:00am
  • 3rd Shift: 1:00am – 9:00am
