CoWorx Staffing is seeking an experience CNC Machine Operator for a local Manufacturing Company within the Greater Waterbury, CT area.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Directs the activities of machine tenders when required.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, planning sheets, setup cards, sketches and related technical data to determine setup procedures, control settings and machining methods and sequences.
• Calculates and sets machine controls to position spindle in relationship to work piece and to regulate factors such as cutting depth, speed feed and coolant flow.
• Starts machine and monitors displays and machine operation to detect malfunctions, changes cutting tools and setup according to required machining sequence and measures parts for conformance to blueprint specifications.
• Enters commands or manually adjusts machine controls to correct malfunctions or nonconforming machining.
• Operates the machine manually to perform non-automated functions and when automatic programming is faulty or machine malfunctions.
• Files, sands and shapes machined parts as needed.
• Discusses control media errors with supervisor or programming personnel to resolve problems.
• Discusses nonstandard inspection methods with the Quality Technician.

Desired Background/Skills:

• CNC Machine Operator experience
