CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking CNC Machine Operators in the Wells, ME area!

The primary purpose of this position is to produce machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, in the manufacturing process of skylight component parts according to production standards and plans.

Responsibilities:

– Reviews work orders, blueprints, and materials and runs machine in accordance with specification and production requirements
– Programs by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
– Set-up by installing and adjusting jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads.
– Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to standards.
– Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations
– Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.

Desired Background/Skills:

– High School Diploma or GED is required
– 3+ years of experience in a production environment is preferred
– Experience with being an assistant or machine operator required
