Job Description

CoWorx has partnered with Scapa, a global supplier of bonding solutions and manufacturer of adhesive-based products for the Healthcare and Industrial markets. We're seeking Coating Machine Operators to join this growing team!


To perform the operations required to set up and operate the coating machines by applying specific adhesive to a variety of release liners and substrates. Operators in this classification are responsible for the full set-up and operation of the coating machines, inclusive of both the wet and dry ends of the machine and must maintain a clean room appearance at all times.

Job Requirements

Job Duties:

  • Prepare raw materials (adhesive, solvents, additives, and liners) for use in the coating process 
  • Use various material handling equipment (lift trucks, hoists, platform trucks, etc.) as needed 
  • Confirm job work order and product process sheets
  • Comply with the material set-up to be processed at the machine
  • Enter data information into the computer system
  • Set up, operate, and maintain coating machines
  • Assist coating team in ensuring maximum quality, safety and efficiency
  • Perform changeovers, cleaning and simple maintenance 
  • Ensure that material for subsequent jobs is prepared at the machine 
  • Ensure smooth transition during shift change by communicating the activities during the shift 
  • Alert shift supervisor to any quality issues or machine malfunction
  • Responsible for cell housekeeping and assisting with general department housekeeping
  • Organize work station to maximize efficiency. 
  • Completes all necessary adjustments and fine tunes equipment to achieve

Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal English
  • Basic math skills and the ability to accurately use all measuring devices
  • Mechanical aptitude 
  • Must have good computer skills for data entry
  • Lifting up to 50lbs

Hours Available:

  • Day Shift - Monday to Thursday, 6am to 6pm, plus OT!
  • Night Shift - Monday to Thursday, 6pm to 6am, plus OT!
